eVolo Magazine is pleased to invite architects, students, engineers, designers, and artists from around the globe to take part in the 2018 Skyscraper Competition. Established in 2006, the annual Skyscraper Competition is one of the world’s most prestigious awards for high-rise architecture. It recognizes outstanding ideas that redefine skyscraper design through the implementation of novel technologies, materials, programs, aesthetics, and spatial organizations along with studies on globalization, flexibility, adaptability, and the digital revolution. It is a forum that examines the relationship between the skyscraper and the natural world, the skyscraper and the community, and the skyscraper and the city.

The participants should take into consideration the advances in technology, the exploration of sustainable systems, and the establishment of new urban and architectural methods to solve economic, social, and cultural problems of the contemporary city including the scarcity of natural resources and infrastructure and the exponential increase of inhabitants, pollution, economic division, and unplanned urban sprawl.

The competition is an investigation on the public and private space and the role of the individual and the collective in the creation of a dynamic and adaptive vertical community. It is also a response to the exploration and adaptation of new habitats and territories based on a dynamic equilibrium between man and nature – a new kind of responsive and adaptive design capable of intelligent growth through the self-regulation of its own systems.

There are no restrictions in regards to site, program or size. The objective is to provide maximum freedom to the participants to engage the project without constraints in the most creative way. What is a skyscraper in the 21st century? What are the historical, contextual, social, urban, and environmental responsibilities of these mega-structures?

eVolo Magazine is committed to continue stimulating the imagination of designers around the world – thinkers that initiate a new architectural discourse of economic, environmental, intellectual, and perceptual responsibility that could ultimately modify what we understand as a contemporary skyscraper, its impact on urban planning and on the improvement of our way of life.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

This is a digital competition and no hardcopies are necessary. Entrants must submit their proposal no later than February 6, 2018 (23:59 hours US Eastern Time) via email to skyscraper2018@evolo.us.

The project submission must contain the following files:
•     1- Two boards with the project information including plans, sections, and perspectives. Participants are encouraged to submit all the information they consider necessary to explain their proposal. These boards should be 24″(h) X 48″(w) in HORIZONTAL format. The resolution of the boards must be 150 dpi, RGB mode and saved as JPG files. The upper right corner of each board must contain the participation number. There should not be any marks or any other form of identification. The files must be named after the registration number followed by the board number. For example: 0101-1.jpg and 0101-2.jpg.
•     2- A DOC file containing the project statement (600 words max). This file must be named after the registration number followed by the word “statement”. For example: 0101-statement.doc. A DOC file containing the entrants’ personal information, including name, profession, address, and email. This file must be named after the registration number followed by the word “info”. For example: 0101-info.doc.
•     3- All the files must be placed in a ZIP folder named after your registration number. For example: 0101.zip

REGISTRATION

Architects, students, engineers, and designers are invited to participate in the competition. We encourage you to have multidisciplinary teams.

• Participants must register by January 23, 2018.
• Early Registration: USD $95 until November 14, 2017.
• Late Registration: USD $135 from November 15, 2017 to January 23, 2018.
• One registration = One project
• Participants may submit various projects, but must register each entry.
• There is no limit as to the number of participants per team. Individual entries are accepted.
• After your registration has been approved eVolo will send the registration number (within 24 hours), which will be necessary for submission boards.

REGULATIONS

• 1- This is an anonymous competition and the registration number is the only means of identification.
• 2- The official language of the competition is English.
• 3- The registration fee is non-refundable.
• 4- Contacting the Jury is prohibited.
• 5- eVolo Magazine, as the competition organizer, reserves the right to modify the competition schedule if deemed necessary.
• 6- Participants retain all copyrights of their designs. eVolo Magazine is granted permission to publish in print and digital publications all projects submitted to the competition.
• 7- Entrants will be disqualified if any of the competition rules are not considered.
• 8- Participation assumes acceptance of the regulations.

مجله eVolo خرسند است که معماران، دانش آموزان، مهندسان، طراحان و هنرمندان را از سراسر جهان دعوت کند تا در مسابقه آسمانخراش2018 شرکت کنند. این مسابقه آسمانخراش سالانه ، در سال 2006 تاسیس شد، یکی از معتبرترین جوایز جهان برای معماری بلندمرتبه است. این مسابقه ایده های برجسته ای را که طراحان آسمان خراش از طریق اجرای فن آوری های نوین، مواد، برنامه ها، زیبایی شناسی و سازمان های فضایی با مطالعات در مورد جهانی سازی، انعطاف پذیری، سازگاری و انقلاب دیجیتال، تعریف می کنند، به رسمیت می شناسد. این انجمن است که رابطه بین آسمان خراش و دنیای طبیعی، آسمان خراش و جامعه، و آسمان خراش و شهر را بررسی می کند.

شرکت کنندگان باید به پیشرفت تکنولوژی، اکتشاف سیستم های پایدار و ایجاد روش های جدید شهری و معماری برای حل مشکلات اقتصادی، اجتماعی و فرهنگی شهر معاصر توجه کنند، از جمله کمبود منابع طبیعی و زیرساخت ها و شاخص های افزایش ساکنان، آلودگی، تقسیم اقتصادی و گسترش شهری برنامه ریزی نشده.

این مسابقه تحقیق در مورد فضای عمومی و خصوصی و نقش فرد و گروه در ایجاد یک جامعه عمودی پویا و سازگار است. این نیز پاسخ به اکتشاف و سازگاری زیستگاه های جدید و سرزمین ها براساس یک تعادل پویا بین انسان و طبیعت است - نوع جدیدی از طراحی پاسخگو و انطباقی که قادر به رشد هوشمندانه از طریق خود تنظیم سیستم های خود است.

هیچ محدودیتی در مورد سایت، برنامه یا اندازه وجود ندارد. هدف این است که حداکثر آزادی را برای شرکت کنندگان فراهم کند تا بتوانند بدون هیچ گونه محدودیتی در راه خلاق ترین پروژه شرکت کنند. یک آسمان خراش در قرن 21 چه چیزی است؟ مسئولیت های تاریخی، متنی، اجتماعی، شهری و محیطی این سازه های بزرگ چه هستند؟

مجله eVolo متعهد به ادامه تحریک تخیل طراحان در سراسر جهان است - متفکرانی که گفتمان معماری جدیدی را برای مسئولیت های اقتصادی، زیست محیطی، فکری و ادراکی آغاز می کنند که می تواند در نهایت آنچه را که ما به عنوان یک آسمانخراش معاصر درک کنیم تاثیرش را بر روی برنامه ریزی شهری و روی بهبود روش زندگی ما اصلاح می کنند.

الزامات ارائه

این مسابقه یک رقابت دیجیتال است و هیچ نسخه چاپی لازم نیست. شرکت کنندگان باید پیشنهاد خود را بعد از 6 فوریه 2018 (ساعت 23:59 شرقی شرق ایالات متحده) از طریق ایمیل به skyscraper2018@evolo.us ارسال کنند.

ارسال پروژه باید شامل فایل های زیر باشد:
• 1- دو شیت با اطلاعات پروژه شامل پلان ها، مقطع ها و پرسپکتیوها.¬ شرکت کنندگان باید تا تمام اطلاعاتی را که راجع به پروپوزال خود است ارسال نمایند. این شیت ها باید در قالب افقی 24 "(h) X 48" (w) باشد. رزولوشن شیت ها باید 150dpi باشد و فرمت ذخیره آن ها JPG و مد آن ها RGB باشد. گوشه بالا سمت راست مربوط به شماره شرکت کننده است. هیچ گونه علامتی نباید در شیت درج شود. شیت ها باید بعد از شماره ثبت نامی شماره شیت درج شود. به عنوان مثال: 0101-1.jpg و 0101-2.jpg
• 2- یک فایل DOC حاوی بیانیه پروژه (600 کلمه حداکثر). این فایل باید پس از شماره ثبت نام به دنبال آن کلمه " statement" نامگذاری شود. به عنوان مثال: 0101-statement.doc یک فایل DOC حاوی اطلاعات شخصی، شامل نام، حرفه، آدرس و ایمیل است. این فایل باید پس از شماره ثبت نام به دنبال آن کلمه "info" نامگذاری شود. به عنوان مثال: 0101-info.doc
• 3- همه فایل ها باید در یک پوشه ZIP با شماره ثبت نام خود قرار داده شوند. به عنوان مثال: 0101.zip

ثبت نام

معماران، دانشجویان، مهندسان و طراحان دعوت می شوند تا در این رقابت شرکت کنند. ما شما را تشویق می کنیم که تیم های چند رشته ای داشته باشید.

• شرکت کنندگان باید تا تاریخ 3 بهمن 1396 ثبت نام کنند.
• ثبت نام زودهنگام: 360 هزار تومان 23 آبان 1396
• ثبت نام در دیرهنگام: 513 هزارتومان بعد از 23 آبان 1396 تا 3 بهمن 1396
• یک ثبت نام = یک پروژه
• شرکت کنندگان ممکن است پروژه های گوناگون را ارائه دهند اما باید هر ورودی را ثبت کنند.
• هیچ محدودیتی برای تعداد شرکت کنندگان در هر تیم وجود ندارد. نوشته های فردی پذیرفته می شوند
• پس از ثبت نام شما به تصویب رسید، eVolo شماره ثبت نام (در عرض 24 ساعت)، که برای ارسال صفحات لازم است، ارسال خواهد شد.

مقررات

• 1- این یک رقابت مخفی است و شماره ثبت تنها وسیله شناسایی است.
• 2- زبان رسمی این رقابت انگلیسی است.
• 3- هزینه ثبت نام غیر قابل استرداد است.
• 4- تماس با هيئت منصفه ممنوع است.
• 5- مجله eVolo، به عنوان برگزار کننده مسابقه، حق تغییر در برنامه رقابت را در صورت لزوم دارد.
• 6- شرکت کنندگان تمام حق نسخه برداری طرح های خود را حفظ می کنند. مجله eVolo مجوز انتشار در نشریات چاپی و دیجیتالی تمام پروژه های ارائه شده به مسابقه داده شده است.
• 7- در صورتی که هر کدام از قوانین رقابت در نظر گرفته نشوند، محرمانه محروم خواهند شد.
• 8- مشارکت به معنای پذیرش مقررات است.
