Background

The contemporary urban landscape relies largely on the creation and regeneration of public spaces, which then reflect on the beauty of cities. The identity of urban spaces is created through infrastructures, sculptures, buildings, land, vegetation and any element that is capable of representing the essence of place and culture. Pleasant and comfortable urban ecological environment and interesting urban public spaces have undoubtedly become one of the main driving forces of urban development.

First ‘Naitan’ Cup International Competition for Sustainable Design was initiated jointly by Suqian Municipal Government, Suqian Planning Bureau, and CBC (China Building Centre). Last year, several urban regeneration projects have taken place in Suqian through utilizing plantation elements from traditional Chinese culture. This year, Suqian Government intends to take the urban projects to the next level.

The competition will be based on Axis between the Luoma Lake and the Santaishan National Park that included the Naian Flower Farm, investigating into the cultural, functional and representation of public spaces. The competition invites projects from both domestic and international studios, designers, artist and students. Proposals should be designs of urban icons, sculptures, landscape art, buildings, installations that are integrated into and responding to the status of development in the selected area. Participants will be able to choose the location and the subject for their proposal. Though there is no limit with the budget for the construction, the design should be constructible. Several winner proposals selected by the jury panel could be built subjecting to the city’s regulation.

Identity for the Sustainable Design

The selected sites, the Shanshui Green Corridor and NaTian Flower arm, are located on the Axis between the Luoma Lake and the NaTian Flower Farm in Suqian. The prime location is a great opportunity for designers to imagine the city of the future based in ecological principles. Suqian as many Chinese cities are facing a new era for their development base in the idea of urban regeneration, landscape preservation and sustainable development. The site is a unique landscape that every year manifest the beauty of nature with their impressive colors and the biodiversity explosion. And that’s why rethinking how the city can extended the benefits of the beauty of that phenomena in time, and to integrate all the natural cycles in their urban life is a challenge from which many cities can learn.

Competition Requirements

To develop an innovative design that bears an important effect in creating an identity for the site. The proposal is suggested to pay attention to the two sites: the existing flower farm and the new Shanshui Green Corridor being developed.

• 1. Design Principles
•     1) Creativity: Create diverse and interesting places for SuQian residents and tourists. Design must be original.
•     2) Regionalism: Design should combine local history, culture, and natural environment.
•     3) Sustainability: Designers should take into account the sustainability of design, materials and management.
•     4) Practicality: The project should not be a mere conception. The material choices, the construction forms and the craftsmanship requirements should be practical..
•     5) The proposal should be able to develop the identity of the area, adding new functions and becoming an expressive public space.


• 2. Design Types
• The type of design is not restrained. It could be building, landscape, sculpture or device, for example, Observatory tower, Sculpture, tourist center, teahouse, café, pavilion, restaurant, gallery, Art events etc. The project should be creative, based on local historic and cultural contexts and define a new urban icon.


• 3. Site
• The competition encourages participants to freely investigate in the given region, delineate their own design area and make their own themes. Photos and satellite images of the site should be attached to the project.

Regulations

• 1.Individual participants and groups must agree with and follow the competition requirements and regulations. The organizing committee reserves its right of final interpretation.
• 2.Any words or pictures relating to the name or department of participants are not allowed in the digital drawings, otherwise the participants will be disqualified from the competition.
• 3.All entries are accepted with the explicit free right of publication, reproduction, and promotional use by competition organizers and sponsors without need for further approvals.
• 4.Entries have the opportunity to be constructed. It will be finally decided by the local government. If the work is to be realized, the designer will sign separate contracts with the government.
• 5.Works that have been submitted to other competitions published on other public occasions or adopt design ideas of others will be disqualified from the competition.
• 6.Juries cannot act as advisors to participants, otherwise participants will be disqualified from the competition.

چشم انداز معاصر شهری تا حد زیادی متکی بر ایجاد و احیای فضاهای عمومی است که پس از آن زیبایی شهرهای را منعکس می کند. هویت فضاهای شهری بوسیله زیرساخت ها، مجسمه ها، ساختمان ها، زمین، پوشش گیاهی و هر عنصری که قادر به ارائه جوهر مکان و فرهنگ است، ایجاد می شود. محیط زیست محیطی دلپذیر و راحت و فضاهای عمومی جالب شهری، بدون شک یکی از اصلی ترین عوامل موثر در توسعه شهری است.

نخستین مسابقه بین المللی جام ناتیان برای طراحی پایدار به طور مشترک توسط شهرداری سوکیان، اداره برنامه ریزی سوکیان و مرکز ساختمان سازی چین آغاز شد. سال گذشته، چندین پروژه بازسازی شهری در سوکیان از طریق استفاده از عناصر کاشته شده از فرهنگ سنتی چینی انجام شده است. امسال شهرداری سوکیان قصد دارد پروژه های شهری را به سطح بعدی برساند.

مسابقه براساس محور بین دریاچه Luoma و پارک ملی Santaishan خواهد بود که شامل مزرعه گل ناتیان، بررسی فرهنگ، عملکرد و نمایندگی فضاهای عمومی است. این مسابقه، پروژه هایی از استودیوهای داخلی و خارجی، طراحان، هنرمندان و دانشجویان را دعوت می کند. پیشنهادات باید طرح های نمادهای شهری، مجسمه ها، هنرهای تجسمی، ساختمان ها، تاسیساتی باشد که به وضعیت توسعه در منطقه انتخاب شده و پاسخ دهند. شرکت کنندگان می توانند مکان و موضوع را برای پیشنهاد خود انتخاب کنند. اگرچه هیچ محدودیتی برای بودجه برای ساخت وجود ندارد، طراحی باید اجرایی باشد. تعدادی از پیشنهادهای برنده انتخاب شده توسط هیئت داوران می توانند بر اساس قوانین شهر ساخته شوند.

خواسته های مسابقه

برای ایجاد یک طراحی نوآورانه که اثر مهمی در ایجاد یک هویت برای سایت دارد. طرحی پیشنهاد شده است که توجه به دو سایت را جلب کند: مزرعه گل موجود و کریدور سبز جدید Shanshui که توسعه یافته است.

• 1-اصول طراحی
•    1- خلاقیت: ایجاد مکان های متنوع و جالب برای ساکنان و گردشگران سوکیان. طراحی باید بدیع باشد.
•     2- منطقه گرایی: طراحی باید ترکیبی از تاریخ محلی، فرهنگ و محیط طبیعی باشد.
•     3- پایداری: طراحان باید پایداری طراحی، مواد و مدیریت را در نظر بگیرند.
•     4- عملی بودن: این پروژه نباید صرفا مفهومی باشد. انتخاب مواد، فرم های ساخت و ساز و الزامات ساخت و ساز باید عملی باشد.
•     5- این پیشنهاد باید بتواند هویت منطقه را توسعه دهد، با افزودن توابع جدید و تبدیل شدن به یک فضای عمومی رسا و پرمعنی.


• 2-انواع طراحی
• نوع طراحی محدود نشده است. برای مثال می توان از ساختمان، چشم انداز، مجسمه سازی یا دستگاه استفاده کرد، مانند برج رصدخانه، مجسمه سازی، مرکز توریستی، چادر، کافه، غرفه، رستوران، گالری، رویدادهای هنری و غیره. این پروژه باید خلاقانه باشد، براساس شرایط تاریخی و فرهنگی محلی و یک نماد شهری جدید را تعریف کنید.


• 3-سایت
• این مسابقه مشارکت کنندگان را تشویق می کند تا به طور آزادانه در منطقه مورد بررسی قرار گیرند، منطقه طراحی خود را مشخص کنند و زمینه های خودشان را ایجاد کنند. تصاویر و تصاویر ماهواره ای سایت باید به پروژه الحاق شوند.

قوانین

• 1- شرکت کنندگان و گروه های فردی باید با الزامات و مقررات رقابت موافقت کنند. کمیته سازماندهی، حق تفسیر نهایی را حفظ می کند.
• 2- هیچ کلمه یا تصویری از شرکت کنندگان نباید روی مدارک دیجیتالی درج شود در غیر این صورت از مسابقه کنار خواهند رفت.
• 3- همه مطالب با حق صریح حق انتشار، بازتولید و استفاده تبلیغاتی توسط سازمان دهندگان مسابقه و حامیان مالی بدون نیاز به تصویب بیشتر پذیرفته می شوند.
• 4- همه کارهای انتخاب شده دارای فرصتی برای ساختن هستند. در نهایت توسط دولت محلی تصمیم خواهد گرفت که کدام کار اجرا شود، طراح قراردادهای جداگانه ای با دولت را امضا خواهد کرد.
• 5- کارهایی که در مسابقات دیگر منتشر شده یا ایده آن ها مورد پذیرش قرار گرفته است از این رقابت کنار گذاشته خواهند شد.
• 6- داوران نمی تواند به عنوان مشاوران شرکت کنندگان عمل کنند، در غیر این صورت شرکت کنندگان از رقابت محروم خواهند شد.
